About Us
By Biehle grew out of the founders' passion for textile design and art. He grew up in the world of high fashion with his father, Erich Biehle, being a world-renowned textile designer during the iconic periods of the 1960s, 70s, and 80s working directly with legends such as Yves Saint Laurent and Hubert de Givenchy. Erich designed many iconic patterns that today are exhibited in museums around the world.

How the silk scarf invitation was born
The silk scarf invitation first came to life at the founder's own wedding. "We wanted something truly unique, as we felt the invitation sets the standard for the wedding to come. Our wedding was at Lake Como, Italy, one of the top places in the word within silk production, and where I used to spend a lot of time with my father, so it struck us as the obvious choice to print our invitation on a silk scarf. Our guests were awestruck when they received the invitation, which was exactly what we aimed for"

A passion for silk & art
The founder grew up in the heart of fashion, traveling alongside his father wherever he went. "I recall playing in Hubert de Givenchy's Paris atelier as a little boy and didn’t think much of it, except that he pushed me to learn French and gave me giant perfume bottles every time I visited. I also spent a lot of time with my father at the production facility of the world-renowned Antonio Ratti in Como Italy, where I started to develop a deep respect for the complex and sophisticated processes that go into the production and the printing of silk fabrics."
